To remove the light unit, lift the fabric flap on inside of cap to expose battery casing. With one hand hold the battery casing. With the other hand pull the top of the “bezel” (circular frame around the light on the front of the cap w/”HEAD-LITE” imprint) so the bezel separates from the casing. Then pull the bottom of bezel from the casing. Hand wash the hat in COOL water. Use a damp cloth or a soft brush (such as a toothbrush) and water to gently scrub away residue. A mild detergent may be used if desired (test on an inconspicuous area to insure that detergent will not cause color fading). Line dry. To install the light unit, insert the bottom of the bezel into the battery casing first, then the top. Snap securely in place.
